Title:

Traditional and new products of cultivated and wild growing fruits and grape vines, and by-products during processing, with special emphasis on indigenous varieties: chemical characterization and biological profile.

Objectives:

The basic fundamental concept, on which PROFRUVIT structure and activities have been developed, is inherent to two key points: genetic biodiversity and functional foods. The overall purpose of the PROFRUVIT project is to apply its innovations for the improvement of the cultivation and use of health beneficiary but underutilized fruit products, especially from indigenous varieties and to create the knowledge base for a sustainable economic development in the area of production and processing of fruits and grapes. This general goal is pursued through the development of specific objectives described hereafter.
