During the Training school Nada Ćujić had a poster presentation entitled “Encapsulation of chokeberry by electrostatic extrusion”. This Traning school is a leader in the Microencapsulation Resecarch, lectures have been done at University Collage Cork UCC and practical work and demonstrations at Teagasc Food Research Centre (Moorepark). Nada Ćujić has successfully completed and passed the module ”Current topics in Bioencapsulation Research” which has been contained the following areas: Encapsulation Technologies, Enzyme encapsulation and agglomeration processes, Biomedical microcapsule applications, Fluid bed coating, Extrusion/spheronisation/drug release, Tabletisation, Coacervation, Encapsulation by membrane emulsification, Spray drying method, Particle sizing, morphology, microscopy, Encapsulation by membrane emulsification, Applications of microemulision for enhancing oral delivery, Encapsulation for food applications, Cell encapsulation for food applications, Droplet encapsulation, Encapsulation of small molecules, materials science and industrial process.

Title:
Traditional and new products of cultivated and wild growing fruits and grape vines, and by-products during processing, with special emphasis on indigenous varieties: chemical characterization and biological profile. Objectives:
The basic fundamental concept, on which PROFRUVIT structure and activities have been developed, is inherent to two key points: genetic biodiversity and functional foods. The overall purpose of the PROFRUVIT project is to apply its innovations for the improvement of the cultivation and use of health beneficiary but underutilized fruit products, especially from indigenous varieties and to create the knowledge base for a sustainable economic development in the area of production and processing of fruits and grapes. This general goal is pursued through the development of specific objectives described hereafter.
